Abstract

Systematic critical appraisal of adverse event case reports associated with ayahuasca. Concludes that serious adverse reactions almost always involve dangerous drug combinations, pre-existing contraindications, or unregulated contexts. Establishes evidence base for responsible harm-reduction guidelines.
