Abstract

fMRI study in experienced ayahuasca users showing that ayahuasca promotes emotion regulation during aversive stimulation. Found reduced amygdala reactivity and enhanced prefrontal-limbic coupling, with corresponding reductions in anxiety and improved cognition.
