DMT and harmala alkaloids: an exploratory study of oral Acacia based formulations in healthy volunteers

Abstract

Open-label crossover safety study in 9 healthy participants found three Acacia-derived DMT/harmala formulations had good safety profiles with no serious adverse events. Subjective effects comparable to traditional ayahuasca, supporting feasibility as clinical trial alternatives.
