Abstract

Mixed-methods study of 16 individuals with eating disorder histories who participated in ayahuasca ceremonies. Found significant reductions in eating disorder symptoms and improved body image. Qualitative themes included enhanced body awareness, emotional processing, and spiritual growth. Supports ayahuasca as a novel treatment paradigm for eating disorders.
