Abstract

Development and validation of the Watts Connectedness Scale (WCS), measuring felt connectedness to self, others, and the wider world. Factor analysis of data from 1,278 participants confirmed a three-factor structure with strong internal consistency. Improvements in WCS scores correlated with improved mental health outcomes in psychedelic therapy trials. Defines connectedness as a transdiagnostic construct relevant to psychedelic-assisted treatment across conditions including depression, anxiety, and addiction.
