Ayahuasca ceremony in the treatment of a patient with PTSD: a case report

Abstract

Detailed case report of a patient with chronic PTSD who participated in ceremonial ayahuasca sessions. Documented significant symptom reduction sustained at 6-month follow-up. Describes the therapeutic process including traumatic memory reprocessing and emotional catharsis during the ayahuasca experience.
