Abstract

First study evaluating ayahuasca's wound-healing potential in vitro. Ayahuasca extracts promoted fibroblast migration and proliferation in scratch wound assays. Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties contributed to wound healing. Identifies a novel therapeutic application beyond neuropsychiatry.
