Abstract

Controlled study examining ayahuasca's effects on fear of death, wellbeing, and distress tolerance. Participants showed significant reductions in death anxiety and improvements in wellbeing that persisted at 4-week follow-up. Enhanced distress tolerance correlated with mystical experience intensity.
