Abstract

Evaluated cytotoxicity of ayahuasca beverages across multiple cell lines at various concentrations and exposure times. Found dose-dependent cytotoxicity at high concentrations but acceptable cell viability at concentrations equivalent to ceremonial doses. Results support safety at traditional dosing levels.
